UK & Irish Mushrooms

We were briefed by the wonderful team at Spinnaker London to create a 3D animated advert for UK & Irish Mushrooms.

Working with the agency’s creative team, we developed a seamless animation sequence in a quirky and friendly style.

The ad starts with a mushroom swinging on a string, which then switches on like a light, to ‘shed some light on mushrooms’. This then transitions into a muddy and grassy textured globe to show how sustainable mushrooms are, both to grow and to consume.

We then zoom into the globe to see some mushrooms growing out of the soil. CGI rain was added to show that they need a little water to grow. This was developed using X-Particles.

Next, we zoom back out to see the newly grown mushrooms jumping out of the ground and landing in a funky farmers truck, under a beaming mushroomy (is that a word?!) sun.

Another seamless transition shows us the huge variety of meals that can be created with mushrooms as the star.

Finally the plates transform into mushrooms which then all fall into a punnet to reveal our final packshot and tagline.

Modelling and animation was done in Cinema 4D, with rendering handled in Redshift.
